My name is Paula.
I am a Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics with a Masters of Education in Counseling. I have more than 15 years of experience as a Nutritionist and Registered Dietitian. I started my career at Texas Children’s Hospital, where I worked in the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Department helping people of all ages. I honed my knowledge when I specialized as a Sports Dietitian at The Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas.
A few years ago, after relocating our family to Southern California, I started Ola Nutrition, LLC with a focus on providing online sports and wellness nutrition services. In that time, I’ve helped numerous athletes of all ages - ranging from novice to professional - achieve their athletic goals through nutrition. The services I provide for Sugar Runs athletes include establishing customized fueling, meal prepping, hydration, race-day, and recovery nutrition plans.
In addition to being a Registered Dietitian, I am also a wife, mother, and avid runner! I recently qualified for the Boston Marathon with a finishing time of 3:32:01. I genuinely love what I do and look forward to working with you and Sugar Runs to help you achieve your goals of becoming a better athlete!
