2020 Goals: Dreaming Big for a New Decade!

2019 was a year of so much learning and growth. It was everything I needed after a rough 2018 and I’m more excited than ever to keep the momentum going. I try to set a few goals each year and it is rare that I ever accomplish all of them, but I usually get one or two done. 2019 was the year I accomplished a hell of a lot more than I initially thought, and it was so important for me to look back on it because I struggled so hard to get here. If you want to read about how 2019 went for me, you can check it out here.

So what are my goals for 2020??

Sub-3 Marathon

After CIM, a lot of people asked me what my next goal would be, but I didn’t achieve my goal so it REMAINS! The goal of sub-3 didn’t die at CIM. My desire and drive to achieve it only grew more intense. I don’t just want to run a 2:59 though. I want to smash 3 hours. What does that mean? I’m not sure yet, but I’m excited to find out.

Enhance My Business + Continue Supporting My Team

In 2019, we offered nutrition services, and in 2020 I want to offer something new. I’m still working on what this is, but will share more once I solidify time frames and get things in place! I also want to continue to support the women on my team in whatever capacity they need me to as they grow their athlete rosters and develop as coaches.

Get Uncomfortable

This is vague as hell, but I really want to get uncomfortable this year. I’m not sure if that means taking on a new distance (ultras anyone?), getting really gritty with something I hate like the 5K, or if it just means getting in front of the camera more because that still makes me sweat every damn time, but this is the year of getting really comfortable with being uncomfortable. And I’m excited to share that journey with you all.

I’m excited for a new year! I’ve never been one for resolutions or the idea of a “new you.” It really is just a chance to keep building on the awesome foundation you’ve already built and keep growing or pivot and make changes to your plan.

What are your 2020 goals?

I hope you have a great New Years! Cheers!

J
