All Packed for Vancouver - Vooray Roadie Duffel Bag Review

I'm all packed for Vancouver! While this training cycle hasn't gone as well (mentally) as I hoped, I'm very excited to run my first international marathon! I've been lucky enough to travel over the last year to most of my races, but this will be the second race where I have to fly rather than drive. Packing is a pain in general, but trying to fit everything into carry-on luggage because you have this huge fear that every airline is going to lose your luggage (and race gear) makes it even more difficult.

I have a great pack that I took to Peru last summer that will fit all of my non-race related items, and I decided to bring my Vooray Roadie Gym Duffel as my handheld carry-on. Vooray, an active lifestyle brand, reached out to me a few months back and gave me the opportunity to review the Roadie. While Vooray is not a running specific brand, I really enjoy their laid back vibe and love the simplicity of their products and designs.

Once I received the bag, I noticed right away that several other people at my gym had the same bag. I got the simple black and gray pattern and I love the heathering on the gray. The Roadie has a waterproof liner which makes it great for sticking my sweaty gym clothes in it after a good work out.

I rarely go to the gym once I ramp up my training, but I've made a point to increase my cross and strength training with this cycle. The one or two times a week I've made it to the gym in the past month, this bag has gone with me. It has one large inside zip pocket and a smaller outside one. I usually stick my phone, keys and iPod in the inside pocket, while extra bobby pins and hair ties fit in the smaller outside zipper pocket and don't get lost inside.

I've packed all of my race day essentials in the Roadie for my trip. My Garmin, race outfit, running shoes, gu/gels, hat, water bottle and FlipBelt (not pictured) all fit nicely with room to spare. I'm hoping I don't have to check my other bag, but am thankful the Roadie is the perfect size to fit everything I really NEED for my race. I was also able to slip a pair of sandals in the larger outside pocket. I doubt I'll wear these because it's going to be chilly in Vancouver, but it's always good to have a pair after a race.

The Roadie is a great, high quality bag and I've been eying the Weekender Duffel Bag to match my Roadie for weekend race trips (or vacation trips, if there's no race)! Vooray has extended a discount code to all of my readers. Use code SUGARRUNS25 for 25% off your order now through June 30th! They offer free shipping for all orders over $50, so go wild and then let me know what you think!
